Scotch Short Bread

A classic and buttery Scotch shortbread with a delightful texture.

Ingredients

4 cups flour
2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 lb butter
1 egg

Instructions

Sift flour and cornstarch together 5 times.

Mix sugar and butter well. Drop in egg and mix.

Add dry ingredients. Pat out on 11 x 17 cookie sheet with sides and bake in 300 degree oven just till a very light tan.

I would say about 40 min. (But watch)
