Butterfinger Dessert

A layered Butterfinger dessert featuring angel food cake and creamy filling.

Recipe from Mrs. Ray Akey (paternal great aunt).

Ingredients

1 angel food cake
4 Butterfinger candy bars
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp vanilla
4 well-beaten egg yolks
1 pint of cream, whipped

Instructions

Butter 9x13 pan. Cut angel food cake into pieces, put pieces in pan.

Chop 4 Butterfinger candy bars and 1/2 cup pecans. Mix together and set aside.

Cream 1/2 cup butter; mix in 2 cups powdered sugar, 2 tbsp vanilla, and 4 well-beaten egg yolks. Fold in one pint of cream whipped.

Pour 1/2 creamed mixture over angel food pieces.  Then sprinkle 1/2 Candy and nut mixture.  Repeat both.
