Chocolate Chip Cookies


Been trying to perfect these for years. Getting close. Bake normal for a crisp cookie and chewy center. Bake longer for some crispy goodness. #cookies #christmas

In a beat butter sugar until fluffy. Slowly add eggs one at a time waiting until each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Scrape down the sides of the bowl then add the vanilla.

Lower the mixer to mix setting. Add the salt and the baking soda to the flour and then add the flour to the dough about 1/4 at a time stopping and scraping the sides of the bowl.

Once fully mixed, taking care to not overmix, fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.

cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for 4 hours. I do overnight.

Before baking take the dough out of the refrigerator to bring to room temperature.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spoon the dough out onto cookie sheets leaving space for them to spread.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until desired crispness level. Cool on a wire rack.
