Soak lentils in water for a few hours. In Dutch oven, place oil to cover bottom. Add sausage and beef; cook till brown. Add lentils and water. Add onion, potatoes, and spices. Add beef bouillon cubes, tomato paste, and bay leaf. Cook one hour or till potatoes are cooked and most of water is absorbed.
This sounds really interesting. I never add meat to my lentil soup. I will def try. Thanks for this suggestion!
