Ingredients
1 C butter, softened
3/4 C sugar
3/4 C light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 C unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 C (12 oz. package) semi-sweet chocolate chips
optional: 1 C chopped nuts
1 C oatmeal
Instructions
Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light & fluffy. Add eggs; beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips & nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
