Frosting for angel food cake

A creamy, fluffy chocolate frosting perfect for cakes, made with white chocolate and vanilla.

Recipe from Margaret Schulz, paternal grandmother.

Ingredients

3/4 cup chopped white chocolate
1 cup milk
2 1/2 tbs. flour
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

Cook first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan till thick, stirring constantly. Cool.

In a large bowl cream butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat 3 minutes with electric mixer. Add white chocolate mixture and beat till nice and fluffy. (5 to 10 minutes)

Makes enough for 2 angel food or 2 layer cakes. Keeps well in refrigerator for 6 weeks.
